Adelanto Heat Parent Code of Conduct

Please read all rules governing the Adelanto Heat Football and Cheer program. Participation is a privilege and is contingent upon you, your child, and any of your guests following these rules.

Please review all the rules with your child to ensure a positive experience for all. Sign and date the bottom of the form. A copy of these rules will be made available to you.

  1. All adults must conduct themselves in a respectful and mature manner.
  2. Absolutely NO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES are allowed at or near practice fields, games, or events. This includes the use of marijuana on the premises.
  3. Profanity or racial remarks will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  4. Players or parents may not display gang-related colors, symbols, or apparel at any time near games, practices, or events. ABSOLUTELY NO BANDANAS.
  5. Only players on the roster or Chapter Officials are allowed on the practice/game fields.
  6. Players, parents, and visitors must respect and follow all instructions given by staff members.
  7. Any player who disrupts practice or refuses to participate will be asked to sit with their parent until practice ends. A meeting will be required before the player can return.
  8. Players must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average (‘C’ average), as we prioritize academics alongside athletics.
  9. Coaches will strive to provide playing opportunities for all athletes; however, attendance and behavior at practices and games will impact participation.
  10. Players and parents must refrain from criticizing the opposing team, their coaches, or their fans through words or gestures.
  11. Football players must stay with their coaching staff for the entire duration of practices and games.
  12. A medical doctor’s release is required before a player can return to practice or games following an injury, whether sustained on or off the field.
  13. All players must have a completed and physician-stamped medical physical before the official season begins.
  14. Parents and spectators are not allowed to interrupt practices or games to speak with the coaching staff. Concerns must be addressed through the team AD, who will coordinate discussions with the coaching staff. A 24-48 hour COOL-DOWN PERIOD is required before speaking with a coach after a game or practice.
  15. At least one parent or guardian is expected to be present at the practice field.
  16. Volunteers assisting with yard markers and chains must not coach, provoke, or confront opposing team coaches or referees in any manner.
  17. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS for registration fees, fundraising contributions, donations, or sponsorship funds received on behalf of a participant.

As a parent/guardian, you are responsible for your own behavior and that of any individuals who come to watch your child participate in our program. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for threats or aggressive behavior toward team staff, Chapter Officials, opposing teams, game officials, parents, or players during ANY CHAPTER EVENT.

LOCAL AUTHORITIES WILL BE CONTACTED REGARDING ANY THREATS OF PHYSICAL HARM AGAINST CHILDREN OR ADULTS, WHICH MAY RESULT IN LEGAL CONSEQUENCES INCLUDING ARREST OR PROSECUTION.

By signing below, you acknowledge that you and your child agree to abide by the rules established by the Adelanto Heat Football and Cheer Program. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in IMMEDIATE REMOVAL from the team.

If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact your AD. We look forward to an enjoyable and successful season for you and your player/cheerleader.
